    I took latin for three years. You don’t have to learn how to speak it, but you have to learn how to translate the words. But the class isn’t fast paced, and the teacher is more than willing to help you out if you get stuck. I got a B all three years, and I’m not sure how much I actually retained. Just don’t tell the teacher that. Hah. It wasn’t bad. Just not my thing.

    It is a good idea to choose study hall your first year. And if you decide you don’t need it, you can always switch into another class. But I didn’t have one first year, and I was fine. I did cheerleading and had a job as well. The work load won’t be as bombarding as you think it will be.
